Intraoral Camera

 

An intraoral camera almost resembles an oversize pen, but with a miniature camera mounted inside.  It is used to examine everything that goes inside the mouth and you can follow everything live on a TV monitor.  Our patients are therefore able to see what Dr. Newsome sees as well.  The intraoral camera is called an indispensable educational and diagnostic tool.  It can be moved around inside your mouth from one tooth to the next, giving Dr. Newsome the opportunity to examine each tooth individually.  It used to be almost impossible to see inside someone’s mouth, but with this intraoral camera you are now provided with a great view of your mouth.

                                                

We are able to catch any dental problems in an early stage through the use of an intraoral camera; even problems that a dentist can missed with a normal visual examination at times, will be pick up.
